Saturn and Jupiter - PLANETS OF CONTRACTION & EXPANSION
Saturn is a planet of contentment but contraction. Jupiter is a majestic planet and rules expansion. These statements can be corroborated by the facts that when we paint our room with dark colors like colors near to black in shade then room appears small but on being painted with yellow shades which come under the domain of Jupiter, the room appears bigger.
Jupiter is the biggest planet and most fascinating planet in our solar system. It missed to be a star and would have become a second Sun. Like Sun, Jupiter is also made of hydrogen and helium. It is said that ten Earths equals one Jupiter. It takes 12 Earth years to go around the Sun.
Saturn is a blue planet with very good looking rings around it. It is a slow planet and is called ‘Langda Graha’ (Lame planet) in astrology. It takes 30 Earth years to have one revolution around the Sun.
It is said that no event can take place without the sanction and blessings of Saturn and Jupiter respectively. Saturn is a planet of ‘Dharma’ (religion), truth and order. While Jupiter is a fiery, jovial, buoyant, expansive and optimistic planet.
During Jupiter ‘Dasha’ (period) one gets respect, reputation, progress, prosperity, good contacts, health, wealth and congenial atmosphere. While a person under the influence of a strong Saturn thinks before he acts. People suffering mentally and physically blame it on the influence of the Saturn which is absolutely wrong because Saturn becomes malefic only when its influence is rejected and its warnings are not heeded that bad days take shape.
