Vastu & Feng Shui (Case Study):-

The native approached me for remedies relating to insomnia, family disputes and other related problems. His horoscope signified and promised a good career and rise in his stream but still he was not happy. On visiting his household I found various flaws in his house construction. On being asked about the purchase date and construction, I was told that from the first day only he was not feeling ok.

The various aspects related to his house, gave a feeling of negative energies, which are discussed below to overcome short comings. The first and foremost drawback was in the shape of plot. It was having inauspicious extensions, reduction or cuts and needed to be rectified.

According to Vastu, square or rectangular plots are considered best for residential and commercial purposes. Here we give the picture of his plot and rectification to it by the principles of Vastu.

We separate as per the dotted line so that three separate plots emerge.  On dotted lines, native was asked to build walls of 3 feet so that proper rectangular shapes emerged. I asked him to make the entrance in South of South-East. Because in case of any obstruction in front of the site, we avoid placing the main entrance of the house exactly in front of the obstruction. Vastu advocates that sites with roads on the North and East are best. A Vastu Yantra was asked to be installed on the entrance.

Because the North-East (NE) zone is assigned to water, I asked him to make an underground water tank there. The South-East (SE) zone denotes fire, I asked him to shift the kitchen there because one room was there which could be converted into kitchen. There were two rooms in NW and SW directions. He was asked to assign the room in NW as a guest house because NW direction denotes air and finished goods here move fast in this direction. Similarly guests are not likely to stay for long.

In the centre of the house, heavy items were kept there. Because centre portion denotes “Brahmsthan” it is important that it should be kept open and light. Because any disturbance in the space element is detrimental to overall growth. In a house, space (Akash) element is related to centre portion, therefore it should not be in mess. Extra construction, unutilized rooms or floors and homes stuffed with possessions create lot of negative energy.

I asked him to construct a toilet in NW (North-West) Zone. By placing bedroom in the South-West, West and South abundant reflected bio energy ensures the health of the members of the family.

In the North-East (NE), he was asked to have low level open terraces so that sufficient energy to sustain the requirement of the first floor building is generated. Therefore, the balconies and open terraces are to be towards the North, East and the North-East. NE direction gives stability to the family. I asked him to hang a Pakua mirror on the main door as this is used to ward off wrong vibrations entering a building. For good relations between husband and wife mandarin doves were put in South-West master bedroom.

By all these steps, positive atmosphere brought about the best in him. Because Vastu is basically all about creation of subtle conducive atmosphere in a structure and to enhance the physical, mental and emotional well being of the occupants. It does so by ensuring that the plot is fully energized and the building is in harmony with the cosmic elements.

Vastu cannot supersede the indications in a horoscope, but can optimize the positive signals and reduce the depressing indications in one horoscope
